The Call of the Wild

I thought the book The Call of the Wild was a good and sad book. Dogs were dying all of the time and they were dying harsh deaths. It was a good book about survival of the fittest and how Buck, the main character surviving in the Yukon. I would recomend this book to anybody who likes survival stories.

I don’t know why everybody likes this book better than Freak the Mighty. It was okay. Some good things happened like a domesticated dog like Buck being able to survive. Normally domesticated dogs can’t survive out in the wilderness. I also liked when Buck also forms a special bond with John Thornton. I don’t like it when John Thornton dies. This book was a little boring because it was a bit to hard for me and above my reading level.

The Call of the Wild

I both like and dislike the Call of the Wild. I liked the Call of the wild because it has a good plot. It kept me hooked though the whole book. When Buck first got to the north I was wondering if he would make it. In a story like this anything could happen at anytime.

I dislike this book because there was a lot of fighting, killing, and dieing all together.

I didn’t really like a The Call of The Wild.  I thought is was really sad.  Throughout the book dogs were dying.  At some points I thought it was good but at other times it wasn’t.

The Call Of the Wild had a lot of parts that kept you on the edge. Once you start reading it you don’t want to put it down. There are a lot of very sad parts. But it’s a classic and it’s a really good book. I would recommend this to any one that loves animals especially dog!

The lottery rose is a very good book!

It’s a very sad book, but It shows how real the world can be. It’s about a boy who is abused by his mom’s boyfriend. one day he won a rose bush in a lottery at the local grocery store. One day he was so badly beaten that he was taken away to an orphanadge to live the rest of his life. he found a lovely garden and knew at once that that was the place to plant his rose bush. But when he meets the woman that owns the garden she yells at him to get lost. When she sees his back she runs to get the owner of the orphanadge. And that starts a long and hated relashanship. Well at least for a little while.
