In the Shadow of the Alamo by Sherry Garland is a book about a boy named Lorenzo and his adventures through Mexico fighting to keep Texas part of Mexico. I like this book because it involves war and history. I also like this book because it is violent.It also has lots of Spanish language throughout the text.

This is a book about a middle-schooler named Greg Heffley. He writes in a journal every day about the unfair things that have happened to him in the past twenty-four hours. He has a jerk for an older brother named Rodrick, a annoying little brother named Manny, a weirdo for a best friend, and the most unfair parents in all the history of the world. His parents blame him for everything that happens, and he has to take the blame for everything. This book is very humorous and I would recommend it to anyone who hasn’t read it. This was a great book because it pulled you in and was a great thriller. It may only be 100 pages but it can be hard if your not to good with long words. This book was about a girl named Clemency who gets attacked by an evil fairy. When she can’t take it any more she remembers a story her dad told her (Peter Pan) and starts yelling “I don’t belive in fairies”. When she finds it doesn’t work she yells it 6 more times. When a hobgoblin tells her she killed 6 other fairies she has to go around the world to fix what she started in the adventure of her lifetime.

A Cool Moonlight was a very good book to read during the 6th grade. This book was about a little girl and her sister Monk going through a rough time in their young times. The little girl couldn’t come out of the house until it was night time, her sister would always help her put sunblock on or whatever she needed to protect herself from the sun. She always thought that she had special powers during night time because she could hear and see better than her friends when it was night. That was the book that I thought was really good for my 6th grade year!

Anne of Green Gables is about an orphan who’s name is Ann spelled with an e as she likes her name to be spelled, early in the story she is taken to a home with hope that they will except her into their family. Sadly she found out that they wanted a girl! Later they find out that she was worth their keep. This book is great and I highly recomend it.

The best book I’ve read this here and the only book I’ve read is year is Nothing But The Truth. This book is cool, it is about a boy who is suspended for humming the national anthem. Later in the book there is this huge conflict between the student, Philip Malloy, and the  Language  Arts /Reading  teacher, Miss  Narwin. I loved this book.

I am reading The Clique and it is by Lisi Harrison and my friend has recommended it to me and i really love it. It fits so well into my life and it has such a great point of view. I would strongly recommend it to You All.

Twilight is by Stephenie Meyer, is the most likely the best book I have ever read. It is about a girl named Bella Swan, who is moving to Forks, WA (real place) because her mother is getting married and she decides her mother deserves to be with her new husband. When she gets there she sees the mysterious yet, Beautiful people. She later finds out they are vampires. Later she falls in love with one of the vampires Edward Cullen but its not always happy because while he loves her her blood appeals to him. Not to mention a Evil vampire who also wants her blood. Read the book then get the sequel New Moon.

My favorite book that I read all year is The Voyage of the frog by Gary Paulsen. I like this book because it’s about a kid whose uncle died and his uncle wants him to sail out into the ocean to dump his ashes in the ocean.This book has a lot of action out in the ocean while he has to try return home.

Desperaux is a small mouse who was born with his eyes open. In this book he falls in love with princess pea and talks to her which is illegal in the mouse community. Desperaux reads books instead of chewing on them like the other mice. The council of mice decides to throw him in the dungeon of rats. I n this story you will hear the story have Desperaux Miggory Sow a girl whos father trades her for a red cloth and a hen, and a rat named Roscuro who falls in love with the light he sees one day coming from above the dungeon. In this book you will read of these characters stories and how they come together into one huge mess that is left for Desperaux to clean up.
