Nothing But The Truth

Phlip should have just told the truth to his teacher Miss Narwin, his parents and principals.  If he would have put a good answer in for his winter exams and got a passing grade, he would be on the track team and not in this mess.

Nothing But the Truth

Philip doesn’t really care about what is going on in the newspaper. He just thinks that he is always right. Miss. Narwin was really just doing her job and telling Philip to stop humming during the national anthem. I agree with Miss. Narwin, I do not think that Philip should have been suspended. I think they should have just talked it out. I also agree with Philip, he was showing respect for the country and being patriotic. I am excited to see how this story will end.

Nothing But the Truth

I’m very disappointed in Philip and how he has allowed this to go on.  If he would have gone to Miss. Narwin and asked for help or even made an effort to do well in English class things would have been better for him.  He seemed to have fooled his parents and the community but I don’t think his peers are fooled.

What do you think of Philip’s actions?

I thought the book The Call of the Wild was a really good book. I thought that because it was one of those books that the meaning doesn’t just pop out right in front of you. You have to go deep to find the real, true meaning. This book wasn’t just a book about a dog, it was about nature and survival of the fittest. I would recommended this to anyone because it is one of the best classics of all time. I didn’t know about this book when i first heard the name but now i realize that i should of heard of it. Everyone should hear the name The Call Of The Wild!

I enjoyed this book first, because it involves animals and I love animals. Second, I enjoyed this book because it was interesting through the whole book. Third, I enjoyed it because it was about people fighting to find gold. Lastly, I enjoyed this book because it’s about dog sledding and I seem to like dog sledding a lot, except that you have to use the dogs and you could hurt them. If you read this book I’m pretty sure you would like it. It’s not too hard and it has only 7 chapters so you can read it fast. Read Call of the Wild by Jack London it’s a  great book!

The Call of the Wild

I did like The Call Of The Wild. I would recommend it to my friends. I liked the book because parts of it talked about how people hated animal abuse and tried to stop them and actually cared about their animals. It is also a great book because they talk about great friendships. There is more to it than it shows on the cover. Parts of it were really upsetting  and parts of it were really happy. Like when Buck meets John Thornton, that’s happy. But when Dave dies that was really sad. If you can’t stand animal abuse then I wouldn’t recommend the book to you. But anyway it’s a great book.

The Call of the Wild

I thought this was a very good book. You can get alot more from it than what you would think. It’s much more than just a dog getting kidnapped and sent into the wilderness of Alaska and trying to survive. There’s The struggle for dominance, there’s survival of the fittest, and Jack London brings in ancestry and instincts. The call of the wild has alot of more themes than most books. It’s a very good way to stretch your mind and do alot of things with inferring. It is also a very good way to learn about something that happened in U.S. history with the gold rush. Many people lost everything, and came back with Scurvy and other illnesses. Very few actually gained anything in their experiences in the north. Its nice because you get to see whats its like from the point of view from one of the dogs that was the prince of all dogs around; the big fish in a little pond, thrown into the unforgiving North. Buck has to go against some of his morals, something he might not have ever thought about back in Santa Clara Valley. When you’re thrown into something like he was, you find out alot about yourself. This is a timeless, classic novel, that I am definitely not sorry for picking up and spending time on reading.

In the book The Call of the Wild, A dog named Buck gets a big change in how his life is.  One main theme in the book is survival of the fittest which Buck has to learn. His life changes when he is stolen and has to learn how to survive in the Alaskan cold.  This is a sad but also an exciting book.  You never know what will happen next.
